10th Boston Marathon
On Monday, April 21, 2008, I will be running in my 10th Boston
Marathon, and this year I will be doing so as a fundraiser to
support the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce’s Bobbie Beganny
Memorial Scholarship, which was established in memory of a
former Executive Director. The annual scholarship is awarded
to a Glastonbury High School graduate who plans to major in
business.
Donors are asked to either pledge a dollar amount for every
mile I complete (26.2 miles total) or a lump sum pledge.
Additionally, we are asking donors to pledge a “bonus” amount
in the event that I break my time goal of 2 hours and 50
minutes, which is the equivalent of 6 minutes, 29 seconds per
